Hello to Harry Potter fans!!! Come and join me for a ride to Privet Drive.
Back in May (yes, that’s how far behind I am with my blogging), as a birthday treat I got taken to Harry Potter Studios.
The first Harry Potter Film (The Philosopher’s Stone) was released in 2001, I was 10 years old, and it kind of became a thing each year to go and see the next movie at the cinema. So I grew up with the excitement of these movies therefor had always wanted to go to the Studios. After a hectic drive from Brighton, we arrived a little earlier than our slot, having thought we weren’t ever going to make it, so we had time for quick lunch in the cafe (which served Privet Drive cupcakes!!!!) and into the Studios.
Don’t want to give too much away for those who would like to go, so just a few of my favourite snaps to get you in the mood!
(pssst, Snape’s my fave!!!)
Although it’s busy, it doesnt feel crowded. You are allowed in by time slots and are free to walk around as quickly or as slowly as you wish! We had audio guides included in the tour, but I really don’t think they are worth it, better to see for yourself, most people that go here will know what the things are anyway! or you should if you are an avid fan!
Who look’s a bit excited at Privet Drive??
All the movies where filmed here, so all the sets, props, costumes are there for you to see, walk through and experience for yourself.
The Weasleys shop and the whole of Diagon Alley is the coolest!
I would recommend anyone to go, it´s a fun day out! I might even revisit in a few years time as they keep adding new sections to the Studios and keeping it updated.
Probably a good time for this post as the new JK Rowling book based film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” will be released on the 18th of November! Who is excited!??
That’s all for now mateys… it´s Halloween and I´m going to stay locked indoors hoping no trick-or-treat’ers come as we have no sweets, chocolate, or anything to offer!!!
Have a spooky one! Tms xx
